Accessibility

1. Our target

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. We test the site with automated accessibility tools and by hand, using the keyboard alone, and we fix what we find.

2. What we have done

• Every page can be used with the keyboard alone, and the control that has focus is clearly outlined.
• Text is sized and coloured to meet the WCAG AA contrast ratios.
• Pages use real headings, lists and landmarks, so they can be navigated by structure.
• Every form field has a visible label, and errors are announced and linked to the field they belong to.
• Images that carry meaning have text alternatives; decorative images and video are hidden from screen readers.
• If you ask your device to reduce motion, the scrolling effects, the launch animation and the moving starfield stop.

3. Known limitations

• Headings and sections animate into view as you scroll. The text is always available to screen readers; if the movement bothers you, turning on reduced motion in your device settings switches it off.
• The background stars and the soft glows behind some sections move slowly and continuously. There is no control on the page to stop them yet; turning on reduced motion in your device settings stops them.
• The homepage background video is decoration only. It has no sound and carries no information that is not also in the text.
